But his Hyderabad Lotus Pond residence cum office is also in news which is for some wrong reasons. Now, there are rumours that Lotus Pond is being used to strike shady deals and make top profile settlements.
The YCP government is taking the entire multi-crore liquor business into its hands soon in Andhra. There will be no more private wine shops. Government liquor shops are going to be opened. They are not yet opened. But still the liquor companies are getting calls and orders from Lotus Pond regarding the future business prospects.
This has raised lot of heat and dust among liquor makers now. Till now, they mostly depend on advertisements and some local level lobbying with liquor syndicates to increase sale of their brands. Once the government shops are opened, liquor companies will have no option but to accept orders from Lotus Pond. This is opening flood gates of corruption. Only those brands will be there in government shops for which deals are struck with Lotus Pond.
