Bollywood young Superstar Alia Bhatt has delivered a series of super hits through content-driven films in her career. She is in huge demand and the actress’ recent film Jigra had a wide release across the country yesterday including regional languages. The trailer was not appealing and the film opened on a poor note all over. Directed by Vasan Bala, the film had Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina in the lead roles. The film also remained poor and registered low openings across North India. Jigra also received lukewarm response from the North Indian crowds who watched the film. The word of mouth is extremely poor and disappointing.
With no major releases around, the film suffered badly all over. Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions are the producers of Jigra. Despite bigwigs like SS Rajamouli, Samantha and Rana Daggubati promoting the film in Telugu, Jigra opened on a disastrous note across the Telugu states. The film is rejected badly by the audience in all the languages. Alia Bhatt shot fame with RRR across the nation and the early predictions said that Jigra would open with decent occupanices. The unappealing trailer and the genre may have been the major reason for the film being badly rejected on the first day.
