Mahanati has been the most discussed biopics in the recent times. It is the life story of the legendary actress Savitri. Young director Nag Ashwin spent years on the biopic and the film finally started rolling today in Hyderabad. The pooja ceremony has been held and the makers revealed the first pictures. Keerthy Suresh is the lead actress in the film and she will reprise the role of Savitri in the movie.
Made on a massive budget, massive sets are erected to reprise the films during her reign. Samantha will play a journalist and she will narrate the story. Prakashraj, Anushka and Dulquer Salman will be seen in other crucial roles. Vyjayanthi Movies and Three Angel Studios will be bankrolling the movie which will release next year. Keerthy Suresh underwent huge transformation for her role. Senior filmmaker Ashwini Dutt is monitoring the production work.
