Superstar Mahesh Babu’s Summer release Maharshi is creating ripples in trade circles. Even before the film’s shoot is half done, the makers have closed a solid satellite deal with Gemini TV.
Telugu360 has exclusively learnt that the satellite rights of Maharshi have been sold for a whopping 14.5 Crores. This is a sensational price for the combination and is one of the highest deals for a big ticket film in recent times. Mahesh Babu’s craze among audience and the fact that his previous film Bharat Ane Nenu is a big hit at box office, the makers of Maharshi have bagged a profitable deal with the satellite rights.
The digital rights of Maharshi are yet to be sold. Sources close to the team revealed that Amazon is looking to snap the digital rights of Maharshi.
Produced by Dil Raju and Ashwini Dutt, Maharshi is slated for release next year. Pooja Hegde is the film’s leading lady.
