Mahesh Babu’s Summer release Maharshi is set for a good weekend at the overseas box office after an underwhelming start. The Vamshi Paidipalli directional has surpassed the million dollar mark on Saturday and is showing signs of having a good weekend in USA.
Maharshi started off on a disappointing note with a moderate $ 515K gross from Wednesday premiers. The film added average numbers on Thursday and Friday and struggled to touch the million dollar mark. However, the Saturday numbers are encouraging with the total gross likely to touch $300K by the end of the day. With a decent Sunday, the film is expected to end the weekend close to $ 1.5 million in USA.
Maharshi is Mahesh Babu’s 9th film in million dollar club and also the most for a Tollywood hero with NTR and Nani having 6 movies each.
Dil Raju Ashwini Dutt and PVP jointly produced Maharshi which is Mahesh Babu’s 25th film. Pooja Hegde and Allari Naresh played supporting roles.
