Filmfare awards for Mahesh Babu , Anushka Shetty for Best Actor and Actress in Srimanthudu and Rudhramadevi
The 63rd Filmfare Awards ceremony was held in a grand style in Hyderabad yesterday. The glittering event was graced by many prominent stars from South Indian film industry. The best artists and technicians down South have been awarded for their performances for the year 2015.
Superstar Prince Mahesh Babu has won the ‘Best Actor’ award for his top notch performance in Srimanthudu. This is the 5th time the ‘Pokiri’ actor has been awarded with the prestigious Filmfare. Unfortunately, Superstar didn’t make it to this grand event and the makers of Srimanthudu took the award on behalf of him.
Darling damsel Anushka Shetty bagged the ‘Best Actress’ award for her commendable show in Gunasekhar’s Rudhramadevi which released last year. Stylish star Allu Arjun has won the ‘Best Supporting Actor’ award for his role in Rudhramadevi. SS Rajamouli took away the Best Director award and KK Senthil Kumar was rewarded for his camera work in Baahubali. Legendary actor Mohan Babu was awarded with the Life Time Achievement Award.
Other notable names in the list of awardees include ‘Chiyaan’ Vikram , Nayanatara, Mammoty and Aravind Swamy. Megastar Chiranjeevi was the special attraction for the event.
