After his European holiday came to an end, superstar Mahesh Babu has straightaway leapt on to work on his look for his as-yet-untitled movie with Vamshi Paidipally. The long-in-the-development project, a joint venture between Aswini Dutt and Dil Raju, will roll in Dehradun on June 12, with an extensive schedule later in the US.
The latest piece of information coming about the project, which has been tightly guarded, is that Raju is targeting it for Sankranti next year. “Yes, Raju wants the film to make it to Sankranti. His team has invested a lot of time on the pre-production and he is certain of the film being wrapped up by December. Although Vamshi is known to take his own sweet time to wrap up a project, this time he assured Raju that he’d meet the deadline come what may.”
The source continues, “Raju is sentimental about Sankranti as his past festive releases like— ‘Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu’, ‘Yevadu’ and ‘Shatamanam Bhavati’—have done well. He hopes to repeat the sentiment again. As a matter of fact, Mahesh is also keen on the festive date as he told Mythri Movie Makers that he’d be available for Sukumar’s film from December.”
The source further adds, “As far as legal issues that the film is going through, Raju is certain that everything will be sorted out.
The film, a romantic comedy interspersed with family emotions, will be shot by leading Bollywood cinematographer Mohanan. Pooja Hegde is cast opposite Mahesh, while Allari Naresh will be seen in a supporting role.
