In a shocking revelation, Telangana Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy announced that a major corruption scandal involving the BRS (Bharat Rashtra Samithi) party will come to light before Diwali. The minister compared the upcoming revelation to a “firecracker burst,” suggesting it will create significant political waves in the state.
Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy exposed several alleged irregularities during the BRS government’s ten-year rule. According to him, the previous government engaged in illegal phone tapping activities and was involved in the controversial Dharani portal scam. He further alleged that at least four to five other major corruption cases would soon surface. “These scandals will explode like Diwali fireworks before we return from Seoul,” the minister declared, adding that the law would determine whether the accused should face arrest or life imprisonment.
Speaking about potential legal consequences, Minister Reddy emphasized that asset recovery would be handled strictly through legal channels. He clarified that the government would not make arbitrary decisions, but those who violated laws would face appropriate consequences. The minister particularly stressed that properties allegedly acquired through illegal means would undergo thorough investigation.
Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, currently leading a Telangana delegation in South Korea, is studying the successful Han River restoration project in Seoul. The delegation is gaining valuable insights into urban river development, which they plan to implement in the Musi River cleanup project. During the visit to the Han River, Minister Reddy expressed his commitment to transforming the Musi into a major tourist attraction.
“We will clean up the Musi River in phases and ensure justice for every poor person living along its banks,” Minister Reddy promised while observing Seoul’s Han River project. The South Korean model has successfully transformed a polluted waterway into a clean water reservoir and tourist destination, providing a blueprint for Hyderabad’s ambitious river restoration plans.
