The Hindu, one of the leading news dailies in India, is going to retrench its staff across the country.
Sources close to ‘ The Hindu ‘ revealed that most of the senior employees working in top positions have been asked to leave voluntarily by the end of this month. Also, assistants and office boys who have been working for years have been asked to leave immediately.
Though the management is saying VRS , Cost Cutting is said to be one of the major reasons for this sudden layoffs in The Hindu, which is the largest circulated daily in India.
Most of the employees are going to leave their jobs in this month and many have been served the notice period of two months.
