Actress Sanjjanaa, who earlier made sensational allegations on director Ravi Srivatsa during MeToo campaigning, now appealed an open apology to the director. Sanjjanaa is known to Telugu audience through Bujjigadu movie of Prabhas.
Actress Sanjjanaa had earlier levelled allegations of sexual harassment against director Ravi Srivastava for abusing her during the making of Kannada movie ‘Ganda Hendathi’. She told she was forced to do obscene scenes and was shown vulgarly in her debut movie Ganda Hendathi. She also told, the director didn’t allow her mother to be at spot at while shooting vulgar scenes and as she was very young, she obliged the instructions of the director. She also added that they even shot her private parts and she doesn’t know where that footage is now.
After her sensational comments, director reacted sharply and it soon led to war of words between the two. Directors Association has given her a week deadline to tender apology or else she will have to face serious legal consequences.
So, finally Sanjjanaa agreed to tender an apology in the presence of Artistes Association president and senior actor Ambarish and the office-bearers of the Directors Association. She said that she has not spoken to hurt anybody. She has just explained the incidents happened during the shooting and if those statements hurt director Ravi Srivatsa, she would openly apologise him. The actress’s decision came after Dr. Ambareesh, actor’s association head, advised her to end the matter.
