Telangana IT and Panchayat Raj Minister K T Rama Rao said the ruling party was not coercing or inducing leaders of other political parties with allurements to join the TRS. “Those joining the TRS are not kids but were former ministers and elected MLAs for four to five times,” KTR asserted.

Addressing the media at the Secretariat here, KTR wondered if it was possible to threaten or woo such senior leaders to join the ruling party. KTR refuted the comments of Opposition leaders that the ruling party was luring the other party leaders with offering positions in the party and other benefits. “We are not offering anything to those leaders who are joining the TRS. All these leaders are satisfied with the developmental work and welfare schemes taken up by the KCR government. I think their decision to join TRS was a well thought out one and voluntary,” he said.
