Politburo member of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), Bonda Umamaheswara Rao, on Thursday expressed surprise whether Ponnavolu Sudhakar Reddy, is an additional advocate general (AAG) or a servant in the residence of Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Talking to media persons Bonda Uma asked whether the Crime Investigation Department (CID) chief, Mr Sanjay, and Ponnavolu Sudhakar Reddy are getting their salaries from the exchequer which is public money or are they getting their remuneration from the personal funds of Jagan. Bonda Uma strongly felt that an economic offender who was in jail for 16 months has stooped to the level of managing the systems means the misuse of power has reached its peak.
“Only in the Jagan Mohan Reddy regime we are witnessing such a pathetic situation wherein someone passes highly objectionable comments against the most respectable judicial system and judges,” the TDP politburo member regretted. If former chief minister and TDP supremo, Chandrababu Naidu, did resort to corruption or if funds are transferred from other accounts to the TDP account why the YSRCP Government could not prove it in the courts in the past four years-and-eight months, he asked.
Bonda Uma said that except levelling baseless charges against the TDP like the party has resorted to corruption to the tune of thousands of crores, could they prove even thousand paise corruption against the TDP. In the presence of the judiciary these YSRCP leaders could not present even a single evidence on the allegations that they are making against the TDP but in their own media houses they are showing their talent, he remarked.
Jagan Mohan Reddy is misusing the public money only to suppress the Opposition parties and to elevate the most inefficient advocates like Ponnavolu Sudhakar Reddy and other lawyers in New Delhi, Bonda Uma maintained. Under directions from the Tadepalle palace, both Sanjay and Ponnavolu are crossing the limits and are fositing false cases against the leaders of the Opposition parties, he added.
Ponnavolu Sudhakar Reddy could not digest the fact that the High Court has granted regular bail to Chandrababu and thus he spewed venom at the judiciary at a media conference in New Delhi, the TDP politburo member said. Being in the position of the additional advocate general, how can he pass such comments against the judiciary, Bonda Uma asked.
