Avatar: The Way of Water is releasing in 52000 screens across the globe which is the highest for any film released till date. The film has been screened in several nations for critics and the audience. Surprisingly, Avatar: The Way of Water received disappointing reviews mostly. At the same time, some of them called it an exceptional attempt. Avatar: The Way of Water is the sequel for Avatar which is the highest grossing film of all the time. Director James Cameroon took almost a decade to carve out the second installment of the film.
The Telegraph rated the film with one star calling it ‘waterboarded with turquoise cement’. The review also told that nothing meaningful happens. Empire rated the film with five stars calling it ‘thunderingly entertaining’. The review also said that something impossible is happening on-screen at almost every moment. Most of the critics called the film lengthy as it lasts for more than three hours. The Guardian rated the film with two stars saying that Avatar: The Way of Water is stretched by an AI program from a 30-minute cartoon. The Times too gave two stars for the film saying that it is a superfluous sequel but the visuals are spectacular. Variety reviewed the film on a positive note. Metro and LA Times too called the film impressive.
