In an other setback to Telugu Desam party, BC welfare association leader and Party MLA in Telangana R Krishnaiah today clarified that he had no connection whatsoever with Telugu Desam party and he would not hesitate to fight against the TDP president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu if includes Kapus among the BC castes.
Already the TDP is facing erosion in Telangana with many MLAs choosing to quit the party to join TRS. Krishaniah clarification came in less than 24 hours after party Quthbullapur MLA KP Vinod quit the party and joined TRS in the presence of chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
Talking to private channel, Krishnaiah said he joined the TDP only because Chandrababu Naidu announced that a BC leader would be made chief minister of Telangana. ” I have no connection whatsoever beyond this with Teludu Desam party. I am not a one who would promote the political parties with personal agendas” he said.
Krishnaiah, who is a TDP MLA from LB Nagar in Hyderabad, is now spearheading the BC reservation protection movement in wake of TDP government’s attempt accord BC status to Kapus by the Andhra Pradesh government.
He said he would love to reaming the leader of BC organization. ” We have no objection if the government announces an economic package. We are opposed to according BC status to Kapus. We will oppose it tooth and nail.”he said.
