Prime Minister Narendra Modi has successfully appeased the Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao on the issue of demonetisation during their crucial meeting in New Delhi on Saturday. Modi reportedly welcomed KCR’s views and agreed to his call for a meeting with the Chief Ministers of various states to discuss the issues arisen out of the union government’s sensational move.
KCR, who chose to be cautious in reacting to the demonetisation issue, was invited to New Delhi by the Prime Minister to seek his views and suggestions. Both of them had a fruitful meeting and Modi reportedly could prevent KCR from joining the other dissenting CMs like Mamata Benerjee and Aravind Kejriwal.
KCR reportedly made four suggestions keeping in mind petty vendors and farmers while elaborating him as to how the newest state was badly hit by the government’s move. He explained to the PM the way the earnings of various departments came down sharply following the withdrawal of 500 and 1000 currency notes from the market. He also brought to the notice of Modi the predicaments of common man and the reasonable concerns being expressed by Chief Ministers.
On his part, PM shared his grand idea behind the move and sought the cooperation of Telangana. KCR is expected make a detailed announcement on his deliberations with the PM on Sunday.
