West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee has led a massive unity rally and addressed an anti-BJP public meeting in Kolkata in which top leaders from 20 parties took part. She launched a scathing attack on PM Modi. She asked as to why shady corruption deals like Rajale scam took place when Modi and other BJP leaders call their regime corruption-free and transparent. She said Modi crossed the ‘Lakshmana Rekha’ in political scene and he will have to go in next general election.
Mamata accused Modi of pursuing a dangerous trend of politics wherein they would brutally target anyone opposing them while giving all kinds of unwanted support to those who collude with them. The Indian people have realised the mistake they have done by voting for the Modi government in 2014 and this time they will throw Modi out of power, she said.
Mamata said that the GST, demonetisation and many other anti-people policies have been brought in by Modi whose regime has caused lot of misery to many sections of society. Modi government has smashed central institutions like the CBI. Mamata strongly criticised Modi for targetting the regional parties for which the respective parties’ leaders should eliminate the BJP along with its roots by making united efforts.
