It is almost after fifteen years, BJP government is facing a vote of no-confidence in Parliament today and this is the first ever NCM ( No Confidence Motion ) for Modi government. Modi calls it important day and tweeted India is watching us closely today.
He tweeted, “Today is an important day in our Parliamentary democracy. I am sure my fellow MP colleagues will rise to the occasion and ensure a constructive, comprehensive & disruption free debate. We owe this to the people & the makers of our Constitution. India will be watching us closely. ”
In the last session, NCM was never taken up because of din in the house and Modi never spoke about it. But this time he is calling all parties for “disruption free debate”. What an irony!! Probably, this indicates BJP is well prepared with numbers (MP’s count) and content (how to counter allegations) this time.
Debate will last totally 7 hours. Based on their strength in the Lok Sabha, the BJP has been given 3 hours and 33 minutes, Congress got 38 minutes, TDP got 13 minutes, AIADMK got 29 minutes , Trinamool Congress 27 minutes , Biju Janata Dal 15 minutes and TRS 9 minutes to present their case.
