Hyderabad: Telangana Minister K Taraka Rama Rao on Monday expressed anger over Manchal Sub-Inspector M. Gangadhar for slapping and abusing a biker near Manchal in Ranga Reddy district.
The act of the sub-inspector slapping the biker was filmed in a camera by other bikers. Later, the video went viral in social media attracting severe uproar against the Telangana police. When the Telangana government is imparting lessons to the police on friendly and moral policing, the incident of the SI’s immoral behavior made KTR angry.
Taking to twitter, KTR expressed dissatisfaction over the way the biker was slapped and abused by the sub-inspector. He urged Telangana DGP Anurag Sharma to take action against the sub-inspector. According to Deccan Chronicle, at least 51 national level bikers participating in the MRF Mogrip FMSCI Indian National Rally Championship 2016 were detained after violating road rules in Manchal in RR District.

The bikers including three women were kept at police station till late in the night without citing any reason. Meanwhile, the police claimed that the bikers organised a rally in Thippaiguda village without permission. The police also added that the villagers had complained that the bikers were creating nuisance.
