A video showing TDP MP Murali Mohan referring to Lord Venkateshwara as ‘Venkanna Chowdary’ in the Mini Mahanadu Meeting at Rajamahendravaram has gone viral. In that video, MP Murali Mohan is clearly heard saying ‘Venkanna Chowdary’ in reference to the Lord.
Reacting to this, the MP has issued an explanation. ‘It came to my notice that my video where I uttered Venkanna Chowdary by mistake is doing rounds on social media. I would like to clarify in this regard.
I was sitting beside Buchaiah Chowdary, and talking to him during the program. Suddenly when I spoke, I continued to utter Chowdary when referring to Lord Venkateswara. People claiming that I am tagging the Lord by caste are nothing but fools. Personally, I don’t believe in caste system. They how can I tag the Lord with a caste?
I just happened it to utter. Even during my prayers to the lord today morning, I conveyed my apologies’, said Murali Mohan.
Meanwhile, the social media, anti-TDP accounts, in particular, have breathed fire on MP Murali Mohan and the TDP party, calling them as ‘Caste Oriented Party’.
