AP CM Chandrababu Naidu has said that the first phase election in Andhra Pradesh has come as a blessing in disguise for the Telugu Desam Party. The rival parties tried to prevent voters from reaching their native places in Andhra but they could not be successful. Naidu said that his estimations are realistic and the TDP is certain to come back again to power in the state.
Chandrababu held review meetings for the party leaders and activists in Amaravati capital city. He said that the TDP fought the election battle unitedly and it courageously confronted many villains in the election. He referred to the hurdles that were created for the voters to come from Hyderabad to vote in their villages. Naidu accused KCR and PM Modi of trying every trick to embarrass and cripple the TDP by extending their full support to Jaganmohan Reddy. But the TDP leaders and cadres effectively fought back giving a very tough time to the rivals. The opponents tried to bring down the polling percentage but my appeals to voters in the last minute had a positive impact, Naidu said.
