Nadendla Bhaskar Rao, former Chief Minister of AP and father of Janasena leader Nadendla Manohar, today officially joined BJP in the presence of Amit Shah. Details as below.
Nadendla Bhaskar Rao started his political career as MLA in 1978. He became a cabinet minister in the cabinet of CM Chenna Reddy. Later he resigned to Congress and joined hands with NTR to form TDP. In fact, he did most of the administrative work while forming TDP. While NTR was the front face that convinced crores of Telugu people, Nadendla Bhaskar Rao was the backbone of the party. However, he later ditched NTR and became CM as MLAs supported him. But later NTR again became CM and he was ousted from the party. After coming out of TDP, he again joined Congress and served as MP. However, he has not been active in politics for more than a decade.
Now his joining into BJP surprised many. Amit Shah is in Telangana today and during his visit, Nadendla joined BJP in presence of him. It is known news that his son Nadendla Manohar is in Janasena and clarified recently that he doesn’t have any plans to change the party.
