Sequel to Akkineni Nagarjuna’s rustic entertainer Soggade Chinni Nayana has been in news for quite some time now. The film was supposed to roll out even before Nag signed Manmadhudu 2. However, it was deferred as director Kalyan Krishna was not ready with the script. There have been reports that the shooting will commence in June and the film will release for Sankranthi. But, it seems like the sequel is going to be delayed further.
Nagarjuna is fast finishing the shooting formalities of Manmadhudu 2. After this he will start working on hosting Big Boss 3 which is going to commence in this month. So, he will be busy with the reality show for the next three months. Meanwhile, Naga Chaitanya, who has a crucial role in the sequel, has agreed to complete both Venky Mama and his new film with Shekhar Kammula by the end of this year. So, he will be busy with both these projects.
It appears that Nag and Chaitu are not very much keen on commencing Soggade Chinni Nayana sequel anytime sooner as they are busy with other commitments. The wait for Kalyan Krishna might continue further.
