Akkineni Naga Chaitanya and Samantha are the latest T – Town love birds who are soon going to tie the nuptial knot. Both Chaitu and Samantha have openly admitted about their relation to the media in their recent interviews. One question that has constantly put on Samantha in her media interactions is whether she will continue to act in films post marriage. Samantha, though didn’t sign any projects after Janatha Garage, hinted that she will stick to her profession for quite some time.
In the meantime, the latest reports in DC revealed that Chaitu and Samantha are in talks for the Telugu remake of Bollywood hit 2 States. Starring Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, 2 States is based on the popular novel, of the same name written by Chetan Bhagat. The Telugu rights were acquired by Abhishek Pictures and the remake was on cards from a long time. The production has announced that Venkat Kunchem, protege of VV Vinayak, will helm this remake.
Reportedly, Abhishek Pictures bagged the rights for 55 Lakhs and he is looking to take the project on to sets soon. It is learnt that they are planning to rope in Chaitu and Samantha to play the lead roles in the film. Also, they are looking to cast popular artists like Prakash Raj and Rao Ramesh for crucial roles in the film. It would be interesting to see if Chay and Sam come together for this interesting remake.
