As we all know, Naga Chaitanya would be working with filmmaker Sekhar Kammula for the first time in his next film which also stars Sai Pallavi in other lead role. The project was announced recently and is yet to be titled. However, did you know that Chay was not the first choice to play the lead role in this film? Yes!
We have learnt exclusively from our sources that it was Dhruv Vikram, son of actor Vikram, who was initially offered this project. But the debutante actor couldn’t take up the project after it was decided that he would begin with Adithya Varma, the Tamil remake of Arjun Reddy. And after Dhruv let the offer pass by, Sekhar Kammula approached Naga Chaitanya who readily agreed to do the role since he has been waiting for a long time to work with the acclaimed filmmaker.
Speaking about the project, this yet untitled project will be bankrolled by Sunil Narang of Asian Cinemas. The film will go on shooting floors from August this year and is aimed to be released in first half of 2020, which is yet to be officially confirmed. Sai Pallavi would be seen playing a rural young character in this project while Naga Chaitanya would be seen playing a dance teacher in the plot.
