Akkineni Naga Chaitanya, who is awaiting the release of Sahasame Swaasagaa Saagipo, is busy wrapping up his next film, Premam, which is the official remake of Malayalam hit, Premam. Earlier there were reports that Chaitu’s next will be the Telugu version of Tamil action drama, Metro. But nothing took off beyond discussion.
According to the latest reports, Naga Chaitanya has given nod to play the lead role in the Telugu remake of Tamil action sports drama, Eetti, which revolves around an athlete who suffers a rare blood disease, but triumphs in various nationwide events with unflagging endeavour. Directed by Ravi Arasu, the film garnered good reviews and performed well at the box office.
It is learnt that Ravi met Chaitanya recently and got the nod to direct the project. The director, in a recent media interaction, confirmed that the Telugu version will be more intense and emotional than the Tamil version. Ravi is currently working for his next Tamil outing and Eetti remake will go on floors once he wraps up that film. More details about the project will revealed soon.
