Tollywood young producer Suryadevara Naga Vamsi has acquired the theatrical rights of NTR’s Devara for AP and Telangana for a fancy price. There were debates about the price (before release) and the word of mouth on the first day, initial predictions said that Vamsi may taste losses. But the film is doing exceptionally well all over. Vamsi released the film through his regular distributors and his line up of films as producer made his distributors pay the quoted numbers in all the territories. Vamsi also had a big bet in Nizam. The Nizam theatrical rights are valued at Rs 45 crores and Vamsi kept 50 percent share in the region.
Devara was released through Dil Raju in Nizam region and the film is expected to make good profits in the territory in its final run. Vamsi will make handsome profits in Nizam for sure. Devara is expected to recover the investments in all the territories in its final run and in most of the regions, the buyers will receive overflows. On the whole, Devara is a profitable project for Vamsi and his distributors.
Devara is a periodic action drama directed by Koratala Siva. NTR, Janhvi Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan and Srikanth played the lead roles. NTR Arts and Yuvasudha Arts are the producers. Anirudh scored the music and background score for Devara.
