Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday alleged that the YSRCP and the Congress were posing hurdles in every step to the Polavaram works. Stating that the works will be taken on war footing, the AP CM said the State government would set up a fibre grid till the Polavaram site.
Asserting that he would monitor the Polavaram project works once in every month, Chandrababu Naidu demanded that Rs 1700 crore should be granted by the Centre for completing the works. Coming down heavily on the YSRCP and the Congress leaders, Naidu alleged that the works were left behind unaccomplished only with a motive to gain profits to contractors but not for the cause of people.
Charging the Congress leaders for paralysing and emptying the coffers of the State, the Chief Minister claimed that he took responsibility in completing the projects which were initiated during the tenure of former Chief Minister N.T Rama Rao. Alleging that the Congress was in slumber for over eight years when the cases related to land acquisition process are pending in the courts, Naidu slammed that the Congress and the YSRCP for posing hurdles to Polavaram project.
