In the continuing festivities at the emerging capital Amaravati, on Tuesday , Chief minister Chandrababau Naidu received the sacred soil and water collected from all villages across the state intended to be mixed with the soil at the foundation stone spot on October 22.
At the Nagarajuna university area, where the vehicles carrying the “Mana Mattti-Mana Amaravati” have been parked, all-region prayers have been performed. Later, he lit up the Maha Sankalpa Jyothy brought from various locations such Durga Gudi in Vijayawada, Gunadala Church, a Masjid in Guntur and a temple in Amaravati town. The Jyothi, torch, will remain aflame for three days till the foundation laying ceremony on October 22 afternoon. Naidu later visited the spot near Udhandarayanipalem, where the foundation stone is going to be laid and reviewed the arrangements.
