TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu was released on bail from Rajamahendravaram central jail on Tuesday evening. This was followed by the grant of the interim bail by the AP high court. The court granted him four weeks interim bail on health grounds.
Naidu is to undergo a cataract operation at L V Prasad Eye Institute in Hyderabad. He was also asked to produce the surgery report to the superintendent of the Rajamahendravaram central jail when he surrenders on or before November 28.
Naidu was welcomed at the jail by the party senior leaders and the family members. Senior leaders, K Atchennayudu, Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, Bandaru Satyanarayana Murthy, Chintakayala Ayyannapathurud, were there when Naidu walked out of the jail.
Family members, Nara Lokesh and Brahmani, along with Devansh, Nandamuri Balakrishna were present at the jail when Chandrababu Naidu came out. Thousands of the party activists gathered at the jail to welcome Chandrababu Naidu. They raised slogans in support of Naidu as the TDP chief walked into his convoy.
The convoy passed through Ravulapalem, Tanuku, Tadepalligudem, Hanuman Junction, Gannavaram and Vijayawada, before reaching Undavalli house. The party activists and the leaders were also present in the convoy all through the route.
Naidu is likely to visit Tirupati on Wednesday and worship at Lord Venkateswara temple, before going to Hyderabad.
Meanwhile, the APCID had filed an affidavit stating that it would not arrest Chandrababu Naidu as he was given bail on health grounds.
