Chief minister Chandrababu Naidu today announced that the coastal city of Visakhaptnam would be made permanent venue of Partnership Summit. Giving valedictory speech on the third day of CII-GOI-AP sponsored partnership summit at Vizag, he said he had never expected this huge response to the summit.
Naidu profusely thanked union petrochemical minister Ananta Kumar for showering projects on Andhra Pradesh. He said the summit was attended by delegates from 41 countries. Stating that his objective was to banish the poverty from the state of Andhra Pradesh, Naidu said apart from making the state a repertoire of state-of- the- art technology, he would strive to improve the happiness index of Andhra Pradesh with the help of investors present in the summit.
Earlier In the meeting, Ananth Kumar addressed Naidu as sun-rise chief minister to the applause of the entire hall.
The CM said said in the past three days as many as 328 MoUs worth Rs 4,67,577 crore had been signed and this huge investment was going to create an employment for about 10 lakh youth.
Earlier union petrochemical minister Ananth Kumar said a Greenfield petro chemical plant would be set up in Andhra Pradesh. He also assured to take steps to expand the HPCO refinery at Vizag. Ananth Kumar also promised to set up a petro complex and a Medical devices park in Andhra Pradesh. ” “Centre is planning to establish two medical devices parks in India in Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh,” he said.
Getting nostalgic about his Andhra ancestry, Ananth Kumar said his forefathers migrated from Anantapur district to Karnataka. All his family members were great fans of NTR, he said.
Governor ESL Narasimhan also participated in the closing ceremony of the summit.
