Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently made headlines during his visit to Maharashtra’s Washim district, where he launched several development initiatives while delivering a scathing critique of the Congress Party. His strong words and ambitious projects have captured the nation’s attention.
Speaking at a rally, PM Modi didn’t mince words in his criticism of the opposition. He branded Congress as a party run by “urban Naxals” and urged people to unite against what he termed their “dangerous agenda.” Modi suggested that Congress fears a united India, as it would thwart their alleged plans to divide the country. He also hinted at close ties between Congress and groups he described as “insincere towards India.”
The Prime Minister made some startling claims about recent events, mentioning a major drug seizure in Delhi allegedly linked to a Congress leader. Modi accused the party of wanting to push youth towards drugs and suggested they might use drug money to fund election campaigns.
Drawing historical parallels, Modi said Congress’s ideas mirror those of foreign colonizers. He accused the party of treating Dalits, tribals, and backward communities unfairly, similar to British rule. Modi claimed Congress wants a single-family rule in India, leading to the continued mistreatment of communities like the Banjaras.
Amidst the political comments, Modi launched several significant projects totaling ₹23,300 crores, focusing on agriculture and animal husbandry. He inaugurated the Banjara Virasat Museum, showcasing the community’s rich heritage, and distributed ₹20,000 crores to 9.4 crore farmers under the Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. The PM also launched the Namo Shetkari Mahasamman Nidhi Yojana, disbursing ₹2,000 crores.
To boost agriculture infrastructure, Modi initiated over 7,500 projects worth ₹1,920 crore under the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund. He also launched 9,200 Farmer Producer Organizations with a ₹1,300 crore turnover capacity and inaugurated 5 solar parks with a 19 MW capacity under the Chief Minister Saur Krishi Vahini Yojana 2.0.
