Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Critically acclaimed actor in Bollywood who is well known for his works in movies like The Lunchbox, Talaash, Gangs of Wasseypur and Kahaani. The actor’s name has cropped up for allegedly spying on his wife. Like his movies, this episode also got several twists and turns.
The Thane police were looking into the incidents where individuals manage to access call data records of people by hiring private detectives as several people in Thane were complaining police about their call data being tapped. While investigating this, Thane police’s Crime Branch nabbed 11 persons, mainly private detectives, who were involved in the Call Detail Records (CDR) scam.
From them, police found, as per reports, Siddiqui had allegedly acquired Call Data Reports (CDR) of his wife’s phone through an advocate by hiring a private detective to keep an eye on her contacts and whereabouts. This has spurred quite a controversy. There were also reports that the actor was summoned for investigations by the Thane city police related to Thane CDR case.
However, he called all such rumours as “random allegations”. The actor who was at her daughter’s science exhibition in the school was questioned by the media for the same. He then took to his social media accounts to rubbish all such allegations. Even his wife also came to his support and said, that her husband has become a ‘soft target’ simply because of his celebrity status. She added, her husband is innocent in the CDR controversy and the truth would soon come out.
