Among the veteran actors, Nandamuri Balakrishna is racing ahead with back-to-back hits. The actor’s last film Daaku Maharaaj received critical accalim and Balayya is shooting for his next film Akhanda 2. The film directed by Boyapati Sreenu is the craziest film in the trade as the duo has delivered Simha, Legend and Akhanda in the past. The film is the costliest film made in the careers of Balayya and Boyapati.
As per the update, the final budget of the film will touch Rs 200 crores which is huge. The makers are keen to close the non-theatrical rights and recover major investments. But a huge amount will have to be recovered in theatres. Akhanda 2 has to perform exceptionally well in theatres to end up as a safe project considering the film’s budgets. Thaman is composing the music and 14 Reels Plus are the producers. Akhanda 2 is announced for Dasara 2025 release.
