Telangana government is planning new financial district. The existing financial district has no space to accommodate growing demand from Banking, Financial Services and Insurance(BFSI). The new facility is planning in 50 acres and the officials started looking for the land for the proposed financial district.
Areas like Puppalguda and Tellapur are surveyed for setting up of facility but nothing has been finalised. APIIC is on the job to scout for suitable location. Already Mumbai and Ahmedabad cities are step ahead in providing world class infrastructure to financial districts. Ahmedabad had constructed Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT) which is attracting many BFSI companies.
Telangana officials claim that Hyderabad will have technology advantage when compared to other cities like Mumbai, Ahmedabad. With this financial district, Telanagana wants to reposition itself interms of providing infrastructure to BFSI companies
