During the week of Telangana election, Telugu news channels saw their TRPs skyrocketing and touching the new zeniths. As always, TV9, the number one Telugu channel, led the rally with a TRP of 127. This is a record rating. Just for the purpose of statistics- during the week of Sridevi’s death mystery, TV9 rating was around 90 and that was considered humongous at that time. Tv5 followed TV9 with 90 points. Both V6 and T-news, the channels that focus on Telangana news, stood in top-5 for the week.
