Devi Sri Prasad or DSP as he is popularly known, has been enjoying a long run at top for quite a while now. Just when you think he is losing it, he manages to bounce back with a good album and keep the ship going for some more years.
Right now, Devi Sri Prasad is the music director of choice for all big projects. He is the only guy who can try something innovative or unique if the picture demands it. To put it plainly, there is no alternative to DSP.
While Thaman has his fair share of projects, he is not in the same league as DSP when it comes to music composition or re-recording skills. With Keeravani limiting himself and all set to retire next year, the demand for DSP will only get higher.
Let us hope too many offers don’t dent DSP’s quality of music.
