Operation Akarsh the word coined in Telugu states by late CM YS Raja Sekhar Reddy. Later on same Operation Akarsh hurting his son Jagan Mohan Reddy badly. It became customary for all the ruling parties to follow the Operation Akasrh to weak opposition parties.
Operation Akarsh received phenomenal success in both Telugu states as ruling TDP and TRS parties achieved their respective targets of no or weak opposition. Telangana CM KCR almost wiped the numbers of T TDP in assembly and AP CM Chandra Babu also lured about 20 MLAs from YSRCP. In Telangana TDP had leadership vacuum and in AP TDP boat is full with defectors.
There were reports emerged that old TDP leaders objected inclusion of YSRCP/congress party members into the party in several incidents. Some are gets adjusted after party supremo Chandra Babu personally called them. But there are some leaders who felt that they have no importance in the party after recent incidents.
Now, BJP is targeting those people. Recently, Amit Shah issued clear guidelines to its party members from Telugu states to lure dissatisfied leaders from ruling parties. Amit Shah further told his party members not to bother to TDP BJP relations in this matter.
He also said that the gates of BJP should be open to the members coming from opposition parties too. Telangana BJP president Lakshman has already into the work and started looking into other parties for possible defectors. BJP wants to give the defectors a respectable position in party and use their services to the dullest level. Lets see how BJP Akarsh will work for the building of party in Telugu states.
