The second edition of IIFA was held in a grand manner for two days in Hyderabad. While the first day saw Tamil and Malayalam film stars lighting up the event, it was the turn of Telugu and Kannada stars to be honoured on the second day. Who’s who of South cinema graced the two day event.
Last year’s Telugu blockbuster film Janatha Garage bagged 6 awards in different categories. While Young Tiger NTR has been awarded the Best Actor in Telugu for his power-packed performance, Koratala Siva won best director award and Mythri Movie Makers grabbed the best picture award for Janatha Garage.
Devi Sri Prasad,for his impressive tunes in Janatha Garage, bagged the best Music director award. Ramajogayya Sastry and Geetha Madhuri won the best lyrics and best female singer award respectively.
Samantha took away the best actress award for her role in Trivikram’s A..Aa. Allu Arjun, who bagged glory for his impeccable performance in Rudhramadevi, won the best supporting actor award.
