Young tiger NTR Jr, who is on a mission to reinvent himself, has been taking some bold and interesting decisions when it comes to directors of his films.
Immediately after Puri’s ‘Temper’, NTR chose to do Sukumar’s ‘Nannaku Prematho’ after the director had just then delivered a disaster, ‘1-Nenokkadine’. Next, after scoring his career biggest hit ‘Janatha Garage’, he waited for about four months and finally gave his nod to director Bobby, who was just coming out of a fiasco titled ‘Sardaar Gabbar Singh’. The talented star hero will next team up with Trivikram, who can deliver a minimum guarantee film.
As per our reliable sources, NTR has now given his nod to critically acclaimed but commercially unsuccessful director Chandrasekhar Yeleti for his immediate next project after Trivikram’s. Yeleti is the most unconventional director NTR has ever worked with. Starting his career with critically appreciated films such as ‘Aithe’, ‘Anukokunda Oka Roju’ etc. Yeleti is yet to direct a star hero. His last film ‘Manamantha’ was appreciated for its sensible content but the film was a failure at box office.
Yeleti might surely have spellbound NTR with so sensational a subject that the star hero have his nod unperturbed by the director’s track record at box office. Anyhow, after a safe project with Trivikram, NTR can well afford an experiment especially if it is being helmed by an auteur like Yeleti.
The project is likely to go on floors in the second half of 2018.
