Bigg Boss is the costliest show in Telugu Television history, makers are reportedly splurging Rs 45 crore on the first season itself. NTR is pocketing more than half of the show’s budget, 25 crore as his remuneration. Half amount has already been paid to the actor as advance. Buzz in film circles is that NTR’s remuneration is higher than what Kamal Haasan was offered for the same show in Tamil. Whatmore, no South actor, not even Megastar Chiranjeevi for MEK, was offered this much pay for his services as TV host for one season.
The statistics will look even more interesting when we tell you that the ‘Jai Lava Kusa’ actor will have to allot no more than 20 days for the shoot of Bigg Boss. Rs 25 crore for a 20-day stint is unheard in Southern industry. This speaks volumes about NTR’s craze. If the first season becomes a success, organizers may raise NTR’s pay as well as show’s budget.
On film front, NTR’s ‘Jai Lava Kusa’ is targeting Dussehra release.
