When Oopiri came out, there was a talk about how films rejected by NTR go on to become blockbusters. While that talk is not true, here is one such project that is very much substantiated by facts and the result is radically different.
Superstar Mahesh Babu’s ‘Brahmotsavam‘ has released yesterday, to a disastrous response from all quarters. The movie’s storyline and screenplay are being panned by everyone and director Srikanth Addala is coming in for some harsh criticism.
Interestingly, this story was once narrated to NTR and BVSN Prasad was supposed to produce the movie. NTR did not like the story at all and Addala to make many changes. But the director could not come up with a satisfactory script and NTR rejected the project. He went on to choose Sukumar’s ‘Nannaku Prematho’.
Addala, who shares a good relationship with Mahesh Babu as well, went and narrated this story to the actor and the project was approved by PVP. There were many rumours about Mahesh expressing his displeasure on sets a number of times. But in the end, NTR’s decision turned out to be true and Mahesh Babu’s decision ended up as a disaster.
