After Srikanth’s ‘Mental Police’, it is now the turn of Vijay’s ‘Policeodu’ to face the ire of Police Officers Association in Hyderabad. The association sent a notice to producer Dil Raju, who is releasing the movie in the Telugu states.

The association’s president, Mr. Y. Gopi Reddy, accused the makers of trying to damage the image of police officers with the title ‘Policeodu’. They have demanded a change in the title, a day before the film is set to hit the screens.

So far, the movie unit has not responded publicly to this demand. However, Industry watchers say that the title of ‘Policeodu’ does not sound or appear demeaning in any way and that an amicable solution may be found by both parties.

Policeodu is all set to hit the screens on April 15th in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
