The TDP leaders faced anxious moments at the nomination papers filing of Lokesh who is contesting in the Mangalagiri assembly segment in Amaravati Capital City area. The election officials raised objections that there is a deficiency in the affidavit. It was signed and stamped by a notary belonging to the Krishna district. So, it would not be acceptable in Mangalagiri which falls in the Guntur district.
Finally, the elections officials accepted the nomination of Nara Lokesh on condition that he should file a fresh affidavit having proper jurisdiction. Normally, a notary can have jurisdiction over the entire state or any part of the state depending on what he applied for. There are notaries who taken all India permission from the Central government.
The TDP Mangalagiri leaders had a big relief as Lokesh nomination was eventually accepted. They have immediately rushed to the local notary having proper jurisdiction to get Lokesh documents signed and stamped. Meanwhile, the YCP activists have immediately spread rumours that CM son’s nomination was rejected in scrutiny. Social media was full of these rumours. It is well known Lokesh is fighting against YCP sitting MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy. TDP hopes to win with support from most of the newly enrolled 40,000 voters in the segment.
