Superstar Rajinikanth’s much awaited science fiction thriller 2.0, which was supposed to hit the screens for Republic Day, has been officially postponed to Summer due to the delay in the post production activities. An official statement from the production house has confirmed that 2.0 will release on April 13, 2018, a day before Tamil New year.
With 2.0 confirmed for Summer release, trade circles are anticipating a major reshuffle of release dates for some of the Tamil and Telugu big ticket films.
The delay in completing the CG work is said to be major reason behind the postponement of 2.0. The entire shooting part has been wrapped recently and the audio launch event was held in a grand style a few days ago in Dubai.
Directed by Shankar, the film has Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson in important roles. Lyca Production house is behind this magnum opus.
