Oopiri controversy
Nagarjuna, karthi’s Oopiri is placed by the analysts as one of the hits of Tollywood in the year 2016. The multi-starrer spellbound multiplex movie lovers and critics too lavished praises on the film.
Filmmakers, cast and crew boasted that their film turned out to be a blockbuster, super duper hit. But now dark secrets are coming out with the producer Prasad V Potluri lodged complaint with the Film Chamber accusing director Vamsi Paidipally for the Oopiri losses. It is known that Vamsi Paidipally parted ways with Prasad V Potluri expressing his inability to do a project right after he lost golden opportunity to direct Super Star Mahesh Babu.
Right after that PVP too started troubling Vamsi Paidipally. This is the reason PVP lodged a complaint against Vamsi Paidipally in the film chamber. The complaint in detail mentioned the profits and losses of the film. Prasad mentioned that he suffered 21crs loss as the film budget reached Rs 65crs. He alleged that Vamsi Paidipally promised to complete the film in 40crs but the budget came to 65crs resulting in huge losses.
He said Vamsi Paidipally promised to do another film under his banner to cover the losses but now he is not talking about it even after six months. Inside talk is PVP is arguing that it is not right on Vamsi Paidipally to pen story in their office and then part ways with them and direct the same with Super Star Mahesh Babu. They are now claiming the rights over the story. This once again highlighted the relations between directors and producers.
This shows that the tall claims that Oopiri a super duper hit is just a humbug. If cobwebs tumble, everyone stand exposed.
