Akkineni Nagarjuna, who delivered a blockbuster earlier year with Soggade Chinni Nayana, has bagged one more memorable success with Oopiri. The film, an adaptation of French film ‘The Intouchables’, is an emotional ride of a quadriplegic patient and his caretaker played by Karthi. Tamannaah is the female lead.
The box office performance of the film is terrific and the collections have crossed the 30 Crore mark recently. In Overseas, Oopiri is having a dream run and the latest trade reports suggest that the film has amassed $ 1.539 Million so far, making it the biggest grosser in Nagarjuna’s career. Nagarjuna’s previous best is Manam which collected $ 1.538 Million. Oopiri weathered the massive release of Sardar Gabbar Singh and is continuing its consistent run in the third week.
The commendable central performances and the beautiful narration are the biggest assets for the film. Produced with lavish production values by PVP Cinema, Oopiri has its music score done by Gopi Sundar.
