There are over 50,000 acres of costly, prime government lands in Amaravati Capital City area. As per market estimates, each acre rate would have nearly reached Rs 10 cr considering the global scale on which the city is planned. Of the total land available, the government can afford to use 25,000 acres for commercial development to generate revenue. The total worth of this property would have reached above Rs 2 lakh crore by now. Thus, every rupee spent on Amaravati will have earned several times more in the long run going by the huge potential of the Capital City development.
Chandrababu Naidu, the brain behind Amaravati, says that Amaravati will become such prime property in the open market that the city would be in a position to repay any amount of loans taken for its development now. Accordingly, huge loans are approved by World Bank and Asian Development Bank only based on the rich future potential and repayment capacity of Andhra Capital. Naidu told his party leaders that CM Jaganmohan Reddy’s narrow-minded policies have demolished the Amaravati dream of Andhra people.
