weekend Overseas Boxoffice
It was a dull weekend for Telugu films in overseas. Three medium budget films released last Friday and all of them have thoroughly failed to impress the overseas audience. Raj Tarun’s Kittu Vunnadu Jagratha, Vijay Devarakonda’s Dwaraka and Manchu Manoj’s Gunturodu are among the last week releases.
Trade circles opine that all three films will not be able to recover the expenses due to the poor show in the weekend.
Kittu Vunnadu Jagratha leads the pack of releases with $ 51K from 52 locations. Despite having entertaining elements, the film failed to register decent collections in overseas.
Dwaraka, which released with good expectations, too failed to make an impact in the first weekend. The film has managed $ 49 K from 37 locations.
Manchu Manoj’s latest action drama Gunturodu will be a huge disaster in recent times. The film has collected a paltry $ 3K in the first weekend.
Overseas audience have thoroughly rejected these films due to their lackluster narration and mediocre scripts. The poor word of mouth and below par reviews have dented their collections in the first weekend.
