Indian Air Force (IAF), on Wednesday, pushed back Pakistani fighter jets after they violated Indian air space in Poonch and Nowshera sectors of Jammu and Kashmir. Minister of Foreign affairs of Pakistan Dr Mohammad Faisal claimed the sole purpose for the airstrikes across the Line of Control was to demonstrate their right, will and capability for self-defence.
Now, Pakistan has claimed that it shot down two Indian military aircraft over Pakistani airspace and arrested two pilots. But there was no official confirmation from the Indian government when Pakistan Army released a 46-second video of a blindfolded man claiming that he is an IAF wing commander Abhinandan Varthaman. However, the authenticity of the video cannot be confirmed. Pakistani military spokesperson Major General Asif Ghafoor claimed that two IAF pilots were arrested and one pilot is injured and has been shifted to hospital. He said that one of the aircrafts crashed in Pakistan occupied Kashmir and the other one crashed in Jammu and Kashmir.
The video was deleted after an hour of its posting online, so the authenticity of the video is doubted till now. The Indian government confirmed that Indian aircraft is crashed in Pakistan and the pilot is missing. The reason behind the deletion of video is still unknown.
