Tirupati: Actor-turned-politician and Jana Sena founder K. Pawan Kalyan on Thursday visited the family members of his fan – Vinod Royal, who was stabbed to death on August 22. Pawan consoled Vinod’s family members at their residence in Tirupati and assured help from his party.
It may be recalled that Vinod Royal, who attended organ donation programme on Aug 22 at Kolar in Karnataka, was stabbed to death by his friend Srikanth over a trivial issue. Accused Srikanth, a fan of Jr.NTR, took objection when Vinod shouted “Jai Pawan” during the end of the programme. The programme was inaugurated by senior actor Suman.
Although, the quarrel was subsided, both the youngsters entered into a heated argument after coming out of the venue. In a fit of rage, the accused allegedly stabbed Vinod with knife. Vinod succumbed to his stab injuries while shifting to hospital. Vinod, a B.Tech graduate, was scheduled to fly to America for further studies in a week.

Tirupati: Referring to the murder of his fan – YV Vinod Royal, Jana Sena founder Pawan Kalyan on Thursday said that fandom should not take life of others by turning violent, in fact it should be healthy in helping others.
Pawan was speaking to media persons after consoling the family members of Vinod at Tirupati. Vinod was allegedly stabbed to death by his friend Srikanth over a heated argument at organ donation awareness campaign held on August 22 at Kolar in Karnataka.
“Parents donated eyes of their son after his death as per wish of their son,” Pawan Kalyan said. “I am deeply pained for losing a Jana Sena activist who always wished to help the society,” he said.
Assuring the family of all help from his side, Pawan urged the media to disclose the culprits and their acts to evade the law. Following the reports that the accused is being shielded from the case by some political leaders, Pawan Kalyan said he would urge the Karnataka government for the speedy investigation. “Will try to bring to the notice of the Centre for further investigation into the case, if the State government fails,” he added.
